A New Law for Social Media

New York has a new law for young people. Some social media apps use fast videos to catch kids' eyes. So they make kids stay online too long. Other places like California, Minnesota and Australia have similar laws too.

✦  My Opinion

I think these laws are good. First, if kids spend too much time online, they can be unhealthy. This is because they do not run and play outside. They can hurt kids' eyes, too. Second, some social media apps have violent and harmful contents for kids. Kids can be hurt by them and kids can hurt someone by following bad behaviors from those videos. Third, fast videos make them silly. Kids cannot read long stories and kids cannot focus on their studies. So I think kids should spend less time online.
